Select theaters throughout Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Washington D.C. audiences were lucky enough to see this surprise teaser, preview promo for Michael Moore’s new film “Save Our CEO’s. At theaters that previewed the spot they actually had ushers enter the theaters with collection jars, some audience members actually pitched in, can you believe that!
The documentary is actually still untitled but I think after this weekends preview at the theaters Save Our CEO’s might be a fitting title for the new Michael Moore documentary.

The work of advertising giant Saatchi & Saatchi, Paris conducted a test with 2 children in a room left alone to play, then a camera was introduced…amazing how much more civilized we are when we know we are being watched. The 60 second spot is a public service announcement for Reporters Without Borders. The spot begins with 2 young children playing innocently with a few toys, and like typical young boys they end play fighting, that seems to turn more violent; a video camera is then brought into the room without any communication with the children and surprisingly they children stop fighting and continue playing like good children should. Personally, not a fan of this commercial but the message is clear and very true.

Chivas Regal Live With Chivalry TV Spot, created by Euro RSCG is the Chivas Regal brands latest commercial. Chivas wants to position itself it seems with a more mature market. Steve Hall of AdGabber made a very good observation about the Chivas spot, saying “It’s clear the commercial is mining the human condition, its optimism and the fairy tale life we all wish we could live. In some ways, the commercial succeeds but, while its difficult to put a finger on it, something’s missing. Something’s off.”
Steve went on to say “The spot opens on a man trudging his way to work on a cloudy day in a sea of lemming-like people. He’s clearly questioning his purpose in life as as he voice over intones, “Millions of people. Everyone out for themselves. Can this really be the only way? No.” And with that, the man turns and goes his own way.”
The spot then toasts life with words and phrases such as gallantry, doing the right thing, giving a damn, straight talk, freedom, true meaning of wealth, the brave and “a code of behavior that sets certain men apart from all others.”

I like the spot, considering the times we live in right now aren’t we all questioning something? The Chivas commercial ends with Here’s to us, Live with Chivalry.

Your thoughts….

The Cure For Life Foundation originally released this powerful commercial in late December of 2007, I was so moved when I first viewed it that I have never forgotten about it, and had to share it with you.
Brain Cancer is a leading cause of cancer death in adults aged 20-39, so particularly affecting young parents – and in turn, the children and families who live through the loss of their loved one. The film created by DDB Sydney and Filmgraphics shows the heartache of a mother knowing she won’t live long enough to be with her baby daughter as she grows older. The insight ‘We don’t know what causes brain cancer, but we do know what it affects.’ portrays the emotionally distressing reality for those diagnosed with Brain Cancer. The more funds that are raised, the more the Cure For Life Foundation can do to help find a cure for this terrible condition.
