Regis Philbin stars in this commercial titled “The Therapist” where he engages in primal scream therapy for TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank. The second in the series of commercials has Regis in a therapy session with a TD Bank manager before Ripa comes to take him away.  Tierney Communications launched this new branding and advertising campaign featuring the daytime stars in late November.
Regis is unhappy and telling us he does not like change; the change refers to Commerce Bank and TD Bank North merging to become TD bank. Of Course they had to use Ripa in the spots with Regis or it just wouldn’t be the same.
TD Bank and Tierney Communications have two other spots in the works; “Lincoln” and “Operator” should be released in the not to distant future. Hopefully by then Philbin will have gotten adjusted to the changes with Commerce and TD and he can finish up with his therapist, please no more primal scream therapy. Shouldn’t Kelly be doing laundry for Tide anyway? I do like these commercials, don’t get me wrong they are great commercials, funny…maybe, ok the screams were good.

They are an entertaining partnership, looking forward to the release of the two new spots in the campaign.
