Possibly the greatest NFL football commercial to date, The Nike “Fate” commercial featuring two of the stars in the NFL today LaDainian Tomlinson and Troy Polamalu. The music for this commercial was done by LĀ“Estasi DellĀ“Oro (from the movie The Good, The Bad, The Ugly) – Ennio Morricone

David Fincher directs the life-long journey of pro football players LaDainian Tomlinson and Troy Polamalu as their destinies collide in an NFL football game.

This commercial deserves to “clean up” come awards time. It reminds me of Nike’s one the year prior where Stephen Jackson smashes through a bevy of teams in various stadium venues to the tune of Last of the Mohicans. Does anybody know if director David Fincher was the director on that Jackson ad or merely “inspired” by? This LT-Polomalu ad is smart and clever and inspiring. It also makes me want to buy a CD with all the soundtracks from all those Spaghetti westerns of days gone by.
